#pridemonth !
One day, an anonymous email was posted on the high school website where a student makes a huge confession. After much hesitation Simon eventually decides to start a conversation with him. But their conversation will fall into the wrong hands… and might ruin their relationship.
Read this book, like RIGHT NOW.
Simon Spier is a 16-year-old high school student, a theatre fan, an oreo freak, an Elliot Smith fan and a closeted gay man. He lives a normal high school life with his best friend Leah, Nick and Abby. One day, he starts a conversation via e-mail with a classmate in the same « situation » as him, « Blue », under the pseudonyme « Jacques ». As the two grow closer and Simon begins to develop feelings for Blue, Martin Addison, a classmate, discovers his secret and threatens to expose it…
What will Simon do?
You will know this by reading Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda. Now.
It will help you… believe me !
You’ll never stop reading this awesome page turner.
ENJOY !
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground
I said, young man, ’cause you’re in a new town
There’s no need to be unhappy
I said, young man, when you’re short on your dough
You can stay there, and I’m sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time
It’s fun to stay at the YMCA
It’s fun to stay at the YMCA
I want to break free
I want to break free from your lies
You’re so self satisfied
So hold your head up, girl, and you’ll go far »
Listen to me when I say
I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way
Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself, and you’re set
I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way !
And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate
‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay so
So, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
You need to calm down
You’re being too loud
You need to just stop
Like, can you just not step on his gown?
You need to calm down
It’s everywhere that you go (look around)
You try everything you can to escape
The pain of life that you know (life that you know)
Something better than you are today
I know a place where you can get away
It’s called a dance floor
And here’s what it’s for, so
Let your body move to the music (move to the music), hey, hey, hey
Come on, vogue (vogue)
Let your body go with the flow (go with the flow), you know you can do it
